# Effective pricing

Pay as you go, or subscribe for credits every month. You pay per row returned. Empty results and errors are free. One credit is one US dollar.

## Prices

## Billing questions

**Is one credit one dollar?** Yes. Your balance and every response header show credits, and one credit is one US dollar.

**Do I pay for the rows I ask for, or the rows I get?** The rows you get. A page of 50 rows costs the same with limit=50 or limit=200.

**Does a call through MCP cost more?** No. An MCP tool call costs the same as the same call over HTTP.

**How do I see what a call cost?** Every charged response has an x-effective-credits header. MCP tool results report the same amount.

**How does the subscription work?** You pay $200 each month and get 250 credits. Calls use those credits first. After that, you pay for usage at the same prices as pay as you go.

**Can I cap my spend?** Not yet. Every charged response shows its cost in the x-effective-credits header. Spend caps and alerts are planned.

**What happens to the free $10?** It resets on the first of each month. Unused free usage does not carry over.
